Some days I amaze myself doing allll the things. Other days I search for my phone with it still in my hand. 😂 Today MAY be one of those days 😉 One of the mistakes that I made over and over again when I was first trying to balance building a business (while also raising babies) was…. letting those moments define and derail me. I'd have a day where I wasn't on the top of my game and the negative thoughts would start marching through my brain "You're not good enough. You aren't smart enough. You're the only one this is hard for...look how easy so-and-so makes it look. What do you really have to offer?" (all lies from the enemy, btw) When I started all of those years ago, I heard over and over how important mindset was …. They were right. I have learned so much over the past few years and I’m so grateful. A few of the things I have learned 👉🏼 Your thoughts create an emotion in your body 👉🏼 The emotion creates an action (or inaction, which was often the case for me) 👉🏼 The action (or inaction) creates a result 👉🏼 Your result (good or bad) is directly connected to your thoughts 👉🏼 You can retrain your brain to think better thoughts. Just like strengthening a muscle by doing exercise. You gotta put in the reps. It took me a while to truly work on this because I believed that it was something that I would "get to someday" when I had more time and energy ….. but the time and energy never came because I was stuck in the same old patterns! It seems so simple but it’s not easy. As a new mom, I threw myself into mothering and completely lost myself and any semblance of routine (aside from baby’s) along the way. It was so all consuming and I did not take time to care for myself like I needed to. It led to exhaustion and burn out and if I’m laying it all out there, a lot of resentment and frustration and anger.
